Thinking of selling, and trying to decide who - of the many, many - Realtors out there you should use? Here are some tips on finding the best Realtor for you.
1. Look within your network
- You trust your friends, so trust their recommendations. Ask who they would use - and who they never use again. Be sure to ask WHY they feel that way.
2. Look for hyper-local experience
- Each neighborhood is different that others. Sometimes the STREET you are on matters. A great agent knows this, and can explain it. Choose an agent who has worked where you live, has detailed local knowledge, and works with a heart of a great communicator.
3. Ask about technology
- The game has changed, and most agents are severely behind. They don't use geo-fenced ads, have no or limited knowledge of AI, and have only the shallowest on-line presence. All of these are NECESSARY today to sell your home for the highest and best price.
4. Interview several agents
- Agents are professional sales people (or should be). That means they can sound good when talking about things in general. Ask specific questions, ask for numbers, and push for details about how they would market YOUR HOME. What's different, unique, what are the challenges with your home. A great agent will have detailed answers.
